pass the bill

In my opinion I think giving immigrates drivers license is a really good think. The reason I say it’s a good thing because mostly anything you do requires some type of proof, either drivers license or ID.
For example lets say some immigrate comes robs a store and leaves he doesn’t wear a mask or anything. Now when the police is doing investigation they run his picture in the computer base to get his information but if that person doesn’t have any proof in the computer base no one can find him. But if you give them a driver license there are many information you can get from just one card, like address, name, height, weight, and much more.
They way they should pass this is buy giving them a driver license for 1 year and have them renew it every year so they have a background check every year and if they did something bad then send them to jail or back to there county. I think this will change everything around maybe fewer crimes also and people will be more open.
I also think after a certain amount of year they should be able to apply for a green-card and so on. But in order to do that they should have a clean background no crimes.

TAKS SHOULD BE NO MORE!!

TAKS ever wonder why in the world do we have to take TAKS? I say no more TAKS there are many reason why we shouldn’t have TAKS. I thinking having TAKS is just a waste of school day and people that are not good test takers they stress out especially on TAKS.
In high school 11th grade is the exit level for TAKS so that means no more TAKS after 11th grade but remember if you fail then you have to make it up on a different day and I think this is the reason why there is a hand full of people that don’t pass because they stress like what if I don’t pass then this will happen or that will happen. This is the reason I say no TAKS, even if you want to keep TAKS keep it but don’t make it to the point where people are stressing about it. In high school you already have enough things to stress about.
First of all you have to worry about your homework, second you have to make sure your caught up in all your classes and believe me it easy to get far behind, third make sure you get good grades on your test and finals.
Now tell me when there’s another test you have to add to the stress and what make it crazy is that if you don’t pass you can lose an elective and have to take an extra help class so you pass the second time. I personally think its pointless to have TAKS and they should just let them move forward if they have enough credits to do so.

Unplanned Parenthood

I agree with my colleague’s "unplanned parenthood". Taking classes in high school have made a lot of people change there mind either positive or negative. I say negative because when you’re taking the sex aid class they talk about using protection and people think yeah we can use protection. My colleague made a good point when he/she said, “parents would have to sign a consent form allowing their child to take part in this informative course which means more paperwork and also may lead to fewer students attending the course.” They should pass this bill so there are fewer teen pregnancies.

No more plastic bags

Having no more plastic bags in Austin has become a problem. For example having no more plastic bag means that’s your trash at home is a mess, there’s trash in the kitchen and bathroom.  I say that because no one would pay one dollar or two dollars for a recycling bag and end up throwing it away so your trashcan is clean. As I was reading a article I read, “Americans use and dispose of at least 100 billion bags every year. Although the plastics industry points out that plastic grocery bags are made more from natural gas than petroleum, natural gas is not a renewable resource and contributes to global warming. And about only 5 percent of all plastic bags are recycled nationwide. The rest end up in the trash, hanging in trees or floating in water.” I wonder how many plastic bags you can find in water because when I go to lake Travis I don’t see plastic bags laying there. Having no more bag has became a problem when you go shopping because when you have more the 4 things you get you have to be so careful holding the items because you forgot you’re bag at home. Last thing about recycling bags when we bring recycling bags we put the bags on the cart at the store then we walk around get what we need and at the end we put everything in the bag we never think where the cart has been what’s been on the cart or anything, maybe someone sick was driving that now you got all the germs on you’re recycling bag and now your carrying the germs. I think they should just put plastic bag out again.

Weapons of Mass Repercussions

In the article I was reading titled Weapons of Mass Repercussions.  I totally agree with the author why do teacher need to be trained to shoot at a man that is armed with guns. One I say that because if there is someone that has a gun and is walking around a school there should be a main switch to lock all classroom in a heartbeat so no children is in trouble then you have a local cop that is already trained to do so. I think the author’s audience is the parents of young children because parents are really concerned about their kids ever since the incident that happen in the elementary school. “Like a $9.3 million plan to train teachers for classroom gunfights being proposed in the Texas Legislature. Nine million dollars? They don’t even give that much money to keep public schools operational!” I think this is the author’s argument why is the legislature spending so much money. It makes perfect sense because why in the world would you spend that much money why not just higher more security you will save more money and parents will feel safe to send students to school. I also think have one entrance only during school hours and also use it for exit unless of fire. So the main office knows who’s coming and going.  The author’s doesn’t really talk about a logic but I think what the author is trying to say is don’t spend that much money just to teach teachers how to fire a gun it doesn’t make sense.
