No more plastic bags

Having no more plastic bags in Austin has become a problem. For example having no more plastic bag means that’s your trash at home is a mess, there’s trash in the kitchen and bathroom.  I say that because no one would pay one dollar or two dollars for a recycling bag and end up throwing it away so your trashcan is clean. As I was reading a article I read, “Americans use and dispose of at least 100 billion bags every year. Although the plastics industry points out that plastic grocery bags are made more from natural gas than petroleum, natural gas is not a renewable resource and contributes to global warming. And about only 5 percent of all plastic bags are recycled nationwide. The rest end up in the trash, hanging in trees or floating in water.” I wonder how many plastic bags you can find in water because when I go to lake Travis I don’t see plastic bags laying there. Having no more bag has became a problem when you go shopping because when you have more the 4 things you get you have to be so careful holding the items because you forgot you’re bag at home. Last thing about recycling bags when we bring recycling bags we put the bags on the cart at the store then we walk around get what we need and at the end we put everything in the bag we never think where the cart has been what’s been on the cart or anything, maybe someone sick was driving that now you got all the germs on you’re recycling bag and now your carrying the germs. I think they should just put plastic bag out again.
